JOB DESCRIPTION

Geodata Systems, the premier provider of smart mapping and spatial analytics solutions in the Philippines, is looking for a GIS Specialist.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and configure GIS web applications, mobile applications and dashboards using ArcGIS configurable tools and apps.
  • Designs Geodatabases or Databases based on client requirements and application requirements. 
  • Configures Geodatabases in an enterprise implementation with an RDBMS. 
  • Designs and configures Enterprise Geodatabase management and maintenance workflows, which may include Versioning, Replication, Indexing, Archiving, Backup and Restore, and other QA/QC Procedures. 
  • Conducts presentations/demos to demonstrate capabilities of ArcGIS software and apps 
  • Collects GPS from the field using GPS devices
  • Edits and updates data from the field using mobile apps and devices. 
  • Automates common and/or repeatable GIS tasks, processes, and analysis workflows. 
  • Designs maps for printing.
  • Designs maps for publishing and application consumptions. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of BS Geography, BS Geodetic Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related I.T., Engineering and Science courses

Required Skills:

  • Knowledgeable in ArcGIS
  • Communication (Verbal) and Interaction Skills
  • Proficient in MS Office 365
  • Technical writing
  • Design Tools (MS Visio)
  • Presentation Skills
  • RDBMS (one or more of the following): SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SAP HANA
