
Production Supervisor

Job Purpose
Responsible for supervising production staff and securing production areas. Plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvement on production processes, equipment, work environment and conditions.
Key accountabilities:
Plan and organize production: Assigns work according to production needs; reviews, approves and prepares documents relevant to production activities.
Keeps track of production activities: Ensures supply of raw materials, checks equipment availability, and operational status and manpower requirements.
Ensures production process are carried out based on set standards and customer specifications are met to ensure Quality and Safe products.
Submits daily production report based on plan.
Ensures work place safety and proper management of wastes materials.
Supervises the production team: ensure the correct number of manpower per line; integrates new hires; coordinates production staff; employee rotation and employee movement; evaluates employee performance.
Contributes to activities and training: collaborates on management processes and production processes; takes part in the validation of production equipment; participates in the training and development of skills of production employees.
Informs the Production Manager and/or Food Safety Team Leader on all matters affecting production and other food safety related concern.
Key accountabilities as per the company's procedure:
Hit production plan based on available resources on time and in full.
Assigns tasks to production employees according to their skills.
Reviews and approves production records.
Transmits documents on time.
Writes, reviews and approves documents relevant to management activities (e.g. procedures, work instructions, validation reports, T&M etc.)
Makes sound recommendations to improve productivity, solutions to issues concerning quality, safety and health and safety.
Ensures quality of production is maintained in keeping with costs and schedules.
Accurately assess problems.
Analyses and evaluates options.
Rearranges production sequences according to planning needs.
Keeps deadlines.
Commitment and compliance in the food safety and quality policy of Foodcrafters Inc
Efficiently manages priorities and performs other duties as per instruction.
Essential Requirement and Competencies:
· A Bachelor of Science graduate (Engineering courses, Chemistry, Food Technology, Microbiology or equivalent)
· Core competencies required for the position
· Two (2) to five (5) years of relevant experience in a similar position in the food industry sector-food manufacturing plant.
