Industrial Engineer Assistant

Essential Job Functions:

The position includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Assist with time and motion studies to evaluate work processes and suggest improvements.
  • Collect and analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions.
  • Assist in line balancing and capacity planning for optimal manpower and machine usage.
  • Monitor productivity metrics and generate performance reports.
  • Work with production, planning, and quality teams to implement process improvements.
  • Use Microsoft Office, especially Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts).
  • Maintain accurate records of process changes, layouts, and improvement activities.
  • Provide administrative support for IE projects and documentation.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the IE Supervisor or Department Head.
  • Work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD or similar layout/design software is a plus.
  • Support Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvement.

Experience/Skills:

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in industrial engineering or manufacturing (strong internship experience may substitute).
  • Time and motion study, work sampling, or line balancing experience is an advantage.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
