IT Project Officer

Our international IT team supports the worldwide organization with several IT services. We are looking for an IT Project Officer who will play a key part working alongside our stakeholders in various IT projects within our organization.

As an IT Project Officer, in close coordination with Regional IT coordinator, you will be responsible for guiding project teams through the project lifecycle, ensuring flexibility, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This role focuses on facilitating Agile processes and delivering high-quality regional IT projects while adapting to changing requirements. It supports the product owner, business process owners and end users to deliver ministry value for the products in order to strengthen the Persecuted church

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project management tasks

1. Facilitating Agile Ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to promote team collaboration and continuous improvement.
2. Project Planning and Coordination: Develop and manage project plans, defining scope by creating user stories, objectives, deliverables, and timelines while ensuring alignment with business goals.
3. Team Empowerment: Foster a self-organizing team environment by removing obstacles, supporting team members, and encouraging ownership of tasks.
4. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and managing expectations.
5. Risk Management: Identify potential risks early in the project and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively.
6. Monitoring Progress: Use Agile metrics and visual management tools to track project progress and ensure timely delivery of value.
7. Backlog Management: Collaborate with the Product Owner to prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that the most valuable features are delivered first.

Mission-critical programs

1. Partner with Regional IT Coordinator in the implementation of Global Field-facing products – (e.g., Olive, IOP, and FIMS).
2. Partner with Regional IT Coordinator in the management and delivery of IT initiatives involving multiple entities in Asia.
3. Represents IT for the region in various global workstreams that develops, solidifies, and implements ministry-wide initiatives.

Others

1. Development, publication, and dissemination of IT training materials.
2. And other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Personal Qualities

The IT Project Officer has a heart and passion for strengthening the Persecuted Church. A servant leader with great skill in ensuring IT projects are of its optimum performance, quality and delivered on time.

Key Competences, Skills, and Experiences

• A bachelor's degree in Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in project management or similar roles with a proven track record of successful IT project delivery preferably using Agile methodologies.
• In-depth understanding of Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean, along with their principles and practices.
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, DevOps) to facilitate planning and collaboration.
• Excellent skills in MS365 productivity suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Clear and demonstrable Christian commitment and acceptance of Open Doors International statement of Faith.
• Vision and passion for leveraging IT to serve and strengthen our ministry to the Persecuted Christians.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas and updates to team members and stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills to inspire teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Cross culturally sensitive and willing to travel to different Field countries.
