Job Description:

  • Verify and ensure the accuracy and completeness of diagnosis codes based on services rendered.
  • Complete appropriate documentation or system entry regarding claims.
  • Ensure coding meets current compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Abstract additional data elements during the Chart Review process when coding.
  • Identify appropriate assignment of CPT and ICD-9 Codes for Physician and facility services.
  • Stay updated with the latest coding standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Participate in audits and provide support for compliance reviews.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Medical allied courses; Nurses, Physical Therapist, Medical Technologist. Preferred but not required.
  • Consultancy basis minimum of 6 months consultancy contract (subject for renewal)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of coding experience in a healthcare setting (e.g., outpatient, inpatient, professional, or facility coding).
  • Understanding of ICD-9 or ICD-10 Coding
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
    Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software.
  • Requires strong accuracy, attentiveness to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
