KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must be a high school graduate with specialize training of one to two years.
  • Extensive knowledge of residential construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, safety and applicable building codes.
  • Proficient at blueprint reading.
  • Able to do layout, framing, finishing of typical project, including new rooms, and remodeling works.
  • Ability to draw appropriate sketches to communicate details to employees and others.
  • Must have mathematical and analytical skill necessary to do materials and labor estimates.
  • Able to clearly explain steps, provide clear directions and answer question about construction processes.
  • Able to complete and fulfill paperwork required to purchased order and time sheets.
  • Able to give suggestions and alternative solutions to resolve conflicts.
  • Must be able to climb ladders for heights of up to 60 feet and crawl for distance of 50 feet.
  • Must be able to work with tools, lumber and materials. Able to lift and manipulate objects of up to 80 lbs. for 50 feet.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operates all types of woodworking equipment to include: Table saw, radical saw, planner, jointer, drill, etc.
  • Performs minor and major carpentry and finishing works.
  • Perform window, door and minor roof repairs.
  • Install all kinds of tiling works.
  • Demolish and/or construct interior building partitions.
  • Responds in all expeditions and timely manner to all work requests regarding carpentry expertise.
  • Will comply and follow safely procedures when performing assigned responsibilities.
  • Reports to work as needed especially in times of emergency or after office hours.
  • Assists in loading and unloading of building materials from delivery trucks.
  • Performs other duties assigned as need arises.
