Job Summary:

The Accounting Intern will assist in the day-to-day accounting operations of the hotel and events place. The intern will gain practical experience in handling financial records, processing transactions, and supporting accounting procedures related to room bookings, events, catering, and other hotel services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in recording daily sales from hotel accommodations, catering, and event bookings.
  • Support in checking and organizing invoices, receipts, and payment records.
  • Help prepare monthly reports such as sales summaries, expense reports, and petty cash reconciliation.
  • Encode accounting data into the company system and ensure accuracy of entries.
  • Assist in payroll preparation and monitoring of employee attendance reports when required.
  • Help verify supplier billings and purchase orders related to food supplies, event materials, and hotel maintenance.
  • Participate in inventory checking of supplies and fixed assets.
  • Perform other related accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Currently taking up a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and trustworthy with confidential information.
  • Willing to learn and work in a hospitality environment.
  • Can work independently and as part of a team.
