Job Summary:

The Internal Audit Associate (Project-Based) will be responsible for conducting a detailed review and verification of cashier transactions, with a specific focus on identifying, analyzing, and validating shortages from previous years. The role involves reconciling records, preparing audit findings, and ensuring that all discrepancies are properly documented and reported in accordance with company policies and audit standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and analyze historical cashier records and reports to identify shortages and discrepancies.

Validate transaction details against supporting documents such as receipts, deposit slips, and sales reports.

Prepare audit working papers and maintain complete and accurate documentation of findings.

Coordinate with branch supervisors, cashiers, and other departments to obtain necessary information or clarification.

Summarize and report findings to the Internal Audit Lead, including potential causes and recommendations for resolution.

Assist in reconciling identified shortages and verifying corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting procedures, and company audit policies.

Support other audit-related tasks or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Internal Auditing, Finance, or any related field.

Preferably with experience in internal audit, accounting, or cash management.

Strong analytical and investigative skills with keen attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.

Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.

Strong communication and coordination skills.

Willing to work on a project-based engagement with a fixed duration.

Job Type: Fixed term

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: Php600.00 per day
