About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Test Lead to oversee software testing activities and ensure high-quality deliverables. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid background in QA processes, and Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N4–N3) to communicate effectively with Japanese stakeholders.

Disclaimer: This role will not involve testing Japanese software. Japanese proficiency is required solely for communication with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of testers throughout the software testing lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement test strategies, plans, and schedules.
  • Review and approve test cases, scripts, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with development teams and Japanese-speaking clients for requirement clarification and issue resolution.
  • Monitor test progress, report metrics, and ensure timely delivery of quality products.
  • Mentor and guide junior testers to improve team performance.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Language: Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N4–N3) – reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 3–5 years in software testing, with at least 1–2 years in a lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks.
  • Proficient in scripting languages for test automation.
  • Familiarity with performance testing and security testing techniques.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
