Front-End Engineer Job Description (Web/SaaS)
Position Summary

The Front-End Engineer will be responsible for building the user interface and user experience (UI/UX) of enov8tive's web-based applications, which healthcare staff use for patient scheduling and data management. This role requires expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks, a keen eye for design consistency, and a relentless focus on creating accessible, performant, and intuitive applications for a professional user base.


Key Responsibilities
UI/UX Development
  • Develop responsive, high-fidelity, and pixel-perfect user interfaces from design mockups (e.g., Figma, Sketch) using modern front-end technologies.
  • Build reusable components, libraries, and code for future use across various enov8tive applications.
  • Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and advocate for best practices in accessibility (WCAG), usability, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Optimize application performance, focusing on fast loading times, efficient rendering, and low latency for data-heavy views.
  • Knowledge in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation for front-end systems.
System Integration & Data Handling
  • Collaborate closely with back-end engineers to integrate with APIs and ensure seamless data flow between the server and the user interface.
  • Manage complex state within the application and implement client-side data validation to maintain data integrity.
  • Focus on secure coding practices to prevent common front-end vulnerabilities (e.g., XSS, CSRF), especially when handling Protected Health Information (PHI).
Collaboration and Improvement
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code standards and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Work with the design team to refine interaction design and visual aesthetics based on user feedback and usability testing.
  • Maintain current knowledge of evolving front-end technologies and introduce process improvements where appropriate.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience as a Front-End Engineer developing complex, large-scale applications.

  • Core Technology:

  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Typescript.

  • Framework Expertise:

  • Knowledge and experience on React, React Native,

  • Tooling: Experience with modern front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel) and testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Enzyme, Cypress).

  • Foundational Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Algorithms, and Data structures.

  • Performance & Usability: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues and a strong commitment to accessibility standards.
Education
  • Graduate of BS Computer Science or BS Information Technology.
