Junior Data Engineer

Location: Metro Manila or Metro Cebu (Hybrid)

Contract Type: Project Based

Language Requirement: Strong proficiency in English preferred

Position Overview

We are seeking a Junior Data Engineer to join our growing data team. The successful candidate will assist in building and maintaining data pipelines using modern tools and frameworks within the Microsoft Fabric environment. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data engineering, work on real-world projects, and collaborate closely with experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric.

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python and SQL code for data cleaning and transformation tasks.

Support projects involving PySpark, dltHub, and dbt, with guidance from senior team members.

Extract and integrate data from REST APIs into Lakehouse tables.

Prepare documentation and actively participate in team meetings, including daily stand-ups and project reviews.

Qualifications

1–2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent project/portfolio experience as a recent graduate.

Proficiency in Python and SQL (required).

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude toward learning.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred but not required: familiarity with PySpark, dbt, dltHub, or Microsoft Fabric.
