- Manages, develops and executes legal and compliance strategies;
- Manages Corporate Affairs staff roles and accountabilities and ensures that deliverables and service agreement set with Unit/Department/Divisions Heads are met;
- Represents the Company before judicial and administrative bodies and appears as counsel in any court in the country involving difficult and complex issues affecting the Company;
- Drafts, reviews, and finalizes contracts necessary and proper in connection to Company's businesses operations and provides advice on legal issues in connection therewith;
- Reviews and modifies drafts of legal opinions involving complex and difficult legal questions, decisions and rulings prepared by corporate affairs staff;
- Coordinates with relevant government agencies, external counsel in connection with the filing and maintenance of corporate regulatory requirements of the Company and other relevant legal issues as necessary;
- Develops and implements standard policies and procedures for handling the Company's legal requirements, including but not limited to contract procedures, procedures on issue resolution etc.;
- Conducts regular legal due diligence audit to determine and ensure compliance by the Company with relevant legal requirements;
- Assists with Human Resources and Internal Audit Department in the investigation of complaints and allegations of violations of the company's rules. Manages the communication of findings, conclusions, and recommendations to management;
- Effectively manages corporate affairs legal costs;
- Attends to management committee meetings and business reviews of various business units;
- Keeps and maintains corporate records of, and copies of contracts executed by the company;
- Performs related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
