We are looking for a skilled and passionate Head Barista to join our team at Super Matcha Philippines. The Head Barista is responsible for:

• Ensuring beverage quality and consistency
• Supervising and mentoring baristas
• Maintaining store standards
• Delivering an exceptional customer experience

As a leader behind the bar, you will train staff in both beverage preparation and hospitality standards, oversee daily operations, and act as a brand ambassador for Super Matcha.

• Prepare and serve high-quality matcha beverages and other menu items according to Super Matcha standards
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning across all drinks
• Lead training programs on service excellence, guest interaction, and hospitality practices
• Mentor, coach, and supervise baristas to uphold operational efficiency and customer service standards
• Oversee bar operations, including scheduling, workflow, and performance monitoring
• Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies; coordinate with suppliers for replenishment
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of bar counters, utensils, equipment, and work areas
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and mall/brand regulations
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner
• Support promotional activities, product launches, and seasonal campaigns
• Prepare daily beverage sales and wastage reports for submission to management

• Education: High school graduate, TESDA certification, or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or related field preferred
• Experience: At least 2–3 years of barista experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or head barista role, ideally in a café or specialty coffee/tea shop
• Strong knowledge of beverage preparation, equipment handling, and coffee/tea brewing methods
• Proven ability to train staff in both technical skills and guest service/hospitality
• Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
• Strong customer service orientation and a people-first mindset
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
• Awards or recognition from prior barista competitions are not required but considered a strong advantage
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
