We're looking for a skilled Bookkeeper who knows their way around QuickBooks Online and has a solid grasp of accounting principles.

Role Summary
We're looking for a skilled Bookkeeper who knows their way around QuickBooks Online and has a solid grasp of accounting principles. If you've got experience with software migrations (think Quicken, Xero, Sage → QBO), even better. If you've touched law firm trust accounting, that's a gold star.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working independently but isn't afraid to ask questions, raise a hand when something looks off, and collaborate on solutions. Bonus points if you like strong coffee and a good laugh while crunching numbers.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain accurate client books in QBO.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly.
  • Categorize transactions and prepare clean, timely reports.
  • Assist with system migrations (Quicken/Xero/Sage → QBO).
  • Use Keeper and 1Password to securely manage client access and collect documents.
  • Support cleanups and catch-up projects (yes, the messy books can be the most fun).
  • (Preferred) Help with law firm trust accounting and three-way reconciliations.

You're a Great Fit If You

  • 3+ years US bookkeeping experience with strong accounting knowledge.
  • Advanced QuickBooks Online skills.
  • Tech-savvy — you don't run from new tools.
  • Comfortable asking questions and clarifying when things don't add up.
  • Independent, reliable, and detail-focused.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience with law firm bookkeeping and/or Clio (legal management software).
