Technical Competencies

  • Proven experience in
    designing, implementing, and managing Red Hat OpenShift clusters
    across on-premises and hybrid multi-cloud (public and private) environments.
  • Strong expertise in
    OpenShift installation, upgrades, commissioning, storage, and advanced networking configurations
    .
  • Proficiency in
    Linux system administration (preferably RHEL)
    and virtualization technologies (e.g.,
    KVM
    ).
  • Hands-on experience with
    OpenShift Virtualization
    and
    KubeVirt
    , including VM lifecycle management and integration with containerized workloads.
  • Deep understanding of
    Kubernetes architecture, networking, storage, and security
    .
  • Skilled in
    automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
    using
    Ansible, Terraform
    , and
    CI/CD
    tools such as
    Jenkins and ArgoCD
    .
  • Familiarity with
    container security
    ,
    multi-tenancy
    ,
    authentication mechanisms
    , and
    enterprise compliance standards
    .
  • Experience in
    disaster recovery (DR)
    ,
    high availability (HA)
    , and
    backup strategies
    for containerized workloads.
  • Knowledge of
    CNCF ecosystem tools
    (e.g., Calico, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana).

Principal Responsibilities

  • Design and implement
    Red Hat OpenShift clusters across on-prem and hybrid multi-cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with customers
    to understand business and infrastructure needs, translating them into scalable OpenShift solutions.
  • Implement and manage security best practices
    , DR, HA, authentication, and multi-tenancy configurations.
  • Integrate CI/CD pipelines
    and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, ArgoCD) for streamlined deployments.
  • Manage OpenShift platform lifecycle
    , including upgrades, patches, and system administration tasks.
  • Deploy and automate container and virtualization platforms
    while addressing networking, storage, and security aspects.
  • Migrate, integrate, and manage VMs
    (Linux/Windows) alongside containerized workloads within OpenShift clusters.
  • Configure and maintain Kubernetes networking
    (network policies, load balancing, external connectivity).
  • Manage storage provisioning
    (PersistentVolumeClaims, snapshots, and backups) for OpenShift Virtualization.
  • Monitor and maintain cluster health
    , perform updates on worker nodes, and ensure operational stability.
  • Provide
    L2/L3 engineering support
    , troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
  • Develop and maintain documentation
    , including system architecture diagrams, operational playbooks, and configuration guides.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders
    to provide accurate work estimates and ensure alignment with enterprise container strategy.
  • Mentor teams
    on OCP adoption, best practices, and operational excellence.
