Position: Associate Physiotherapist

Department: Clinical Operations

Reports To: Lead Physiotherapist / Clinic Manager

Scope of Work

The Associate Physiotherapist is responsible for delivering high-quality physiotherapy services, including patient assessment, treatment planning, rehabilitation, and documentation. The role involves working with athletes, individuals with chronic pain, and patients with neurological conditions, ensuring their recovery and performance optimization. The Associate Physiotherapist may also be required to travel for sports events, provide on-site support, and assist with administrative tasks related to patient care.

Job Description

Patient Assessment and Treatment

Conduct initial evaluations, physical examinations, and functional assessments.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.

Provide evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities.

Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.

Progress Tracking and Documentation

Maintain accurate and timely records of patient assessments, treatment sessions, and progress reports.

Document all findings, interventions, and recommendations in compliance with clinic policies and professional standards.

Prepare reports as required for patient referrals, insurance claims, and medical collaborations.

Patient Scheduling, Follow-Up, and Communication

Schedule patient appointments and manage follow-ups to ensure continuity of care.

Communicate treatment plans, progress, and home exercise programs effectively to patients and caregivers.

Provide education on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and wellness strategies.

Travel and On-Site Physiotherapy Support

Provide physiotherapy services at sports events, training camps, or patient-requested locations as needed.

Collaborate with coaches, trainers, and medical teams to ensure athlete readiness and injury prevention.

Assist in pre-event and post-event physiotherapy treatments for athletes.

Operational and Administrative Support

Assist in maintaining clinic equipment and treatment areas.

Support operational tasks such as patient inquiries, appointment coordination, and clinic workflow management.

Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and training as required.

Compliance and Ethical Standards

Adhere to all legal, ethical, and professional regulations in physiotherapy practice.

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling patient information.

Follow clinic protocols, safety guidelines, and infection control measures.

Other Duties

The Associate Physiotherapist may be assigned additional tasks and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the management to support clinic operations and patient care.

Work Location and Travel Requirements

Primary work location: PhysioSpace Clinic, Poblacion Makati City

Travel may be required for sports events, on-site treatments, or home visits as needed.

Working Hours

Standard clinic hours with flexibility based on patient needs and scheduled events.

May require evening, weekend, or holiday shifts depending on patient and event demands.
