Video Research VA – Find Original Footage for Vertical Short Videos

We run a fast-growing business video brand creating vertical short videos (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) that highlight surprising, weird or profitable business ideas.
We generate millions of views every month, and we're looking for a smart and proactive Video Research Virtual Assistant to help us source original, high-quality video footage.

YOUR JOB:


• Receive links to videos made by our competitors

• Find the original video clips used in those videos (no subtitles, no watermark, best possible resolution)

• Download the videos using the tools and websites we provide (everything will be explained)

• Organize them clearly (folder + naming)

• Go one step further by finding new and unique footage that we could use to stand out

• Follow clear SOPs (video trainings will be provided)

YOU'RE A GOOD FIT IF:


• You're resourceful and know how to search YouTube, TikTok, stock footage libraries, etc.

• You can recognize high-quality footage and original sources

• You're detail-oriented, organized and reliable

• You're fluent in English (French is a plus, but not required)

• You have a solid internet connection, enough computer storage, and a working laptop

• Basic video editing skills (blurring, trimming) are a plus – but not required

WORKING CONDITIONS:


• 12 to 18 hours per week to start (2 to 3 hours per day on average), with the possibility to increase to 20–25 hours/week if everything goes well

• You're free to organize your own schedule, as long as deadlines are met and work is delivered regularly

• Long-term mission

• No editing required – just sourcing and organizing footage

• No direct contact with the video editor

PAY:


• Starting at $5/hour

• Paid test task: $20

• Bonuses possible after a few months (extra equipment, paid training, performance rewards)
