Support the management of buying, selling, supply planning, and logistics for palm olein and related products for domestic market, ensuring profitability, supply chain efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Serve as a point of contact among internal/external stakeholders to ensure alignment on supply commitments and trading strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic & Market Analysis

  • Monitor market trends, supply-demand dynamics, pricing movements, regulatory changes and geopolitical factors affecting palm oil.
  • Analyze market trends to identify timely buying and trading opportunities that enhance supply chain value and profitability.
  • Forecast market movements and recommend trading strategies.

Trading Execution

  • Manage the execution of palm olein trading activities by coordinating buy/sell transactions under the guidance of the Commercial Head.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers and customers
  • Monitor trade performance and adjust strategies as needed.

Relationship Management

  • Coordinate with suppliers, buyers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth trade execution.
  • Resolve disputes and ensure smooth communication across stakeholders.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking forums to build market visibility.

Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate with the Wilmar Benby sales team to gather product requirements & delivery timelines, and prepare a planning report for submission to the Commercial Head and the Singapore Head Office.
  • Coordinate with Singapore Head Office and HO Logistics department for the vessel/tanks management and shipment arrival dates requirement.
  • Ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.

Documentation & Reports

  • Manage documentation including contract, regulatory requirements, invoices etc.
  • Monitor import parity and prepare statistical reports and data analysis to assess market patterns and regulatory changes impact the palm oil market, for submission to the Singapore Head Office.
  • Keep track of purchases and maintain an updated sales record.
  • Generate and prepare necessary reports needed by the management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as business management, finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, engineering or a related discipline.
  • With at least 1 year experience in trading or related field
  • Knowledgeable with supply chain transactions, specifically on trade and operations
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and decision-making skills.
  • Diligent, passionate and thrives under pressure
  • With Good business acumen, maturity, integrity and independence
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be willing to travel as required
  • Willing to work onsite: Ayala Avenue, Makati City
