Job Summary:

The Internal Auditor will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes across all departments. This role involves conducting audits of construction project costs, procurement processes, financial records, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct internal audits of financial and operational processes, particularly related to construction projects, procurement, inventory, and subcontractor management.
  • Evaluate internal controls, identify weaknesses, and recommend improvements.
  • Review project budgets, job cost reports, and expenditures for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes and project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
  • Prepare clear audit reports with findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Follow up on implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, accounting, procurement, and executive teams.
  • Assist with external audits and liaise with auditors as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or relevant certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of internal auditing experience, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction accounting, job costing, and project management practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting/audit software (e.g., QuickBooks, CAS, SAP, or similar ERP systems).
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.
