The 
CAD-GIS Technician C
 is responsible for developing accurate plans, maps, and figures using CAD and GIS platforms for geotechnical and geological disciplines. This role ensures all outputs comply with company quality standards and established procedures. The position is office-based and reports directly to the Geoprocesses Coordinator.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare plans, maps, and figures for assigned specialties using CAD and GIS software.
  • Support the review and application of standards for all prepared drawings and maps prior to internal routing.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of all required outputs according to the deliverables list.
  • Comply with company policies and Integrated Management System standards (quality, safety, health, and environment).
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including Geotechnical and Geology departments, for design and map preparation.
  • Perform other related tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Qualifications

Education:
Technical Diploma (required)

Field of Study:
Architectural & Civil Engineering Drafting or Geomatics (required)

Certification:
AutoCAD Certification (preferred)

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year as a CAD Drafter/Technician
  • 6 months as CAD-GIS Intern (desirable)

Technical Skills:

  • AutoCAD (Advanced)
  • AutoCAD tools such as sheet set manager and dynamic blocks (Advanced)
  • ArcGIS Desktop (Advanced)
  • MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Basic)
  • Basic knowledge of topography (preferred)

Other Requirements:

  • Basic English proficiency
  • Strong communication skills
  • Results-oriented and proactive mindset
  • Ability to work effectively with internal clients
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence in the workplace
  • Can speak and read Spanish will be an advantage
  • Amenable to work on GMT-5 (PET)
