Wärtsilä is seeking a skilled and dedicated
Mechanical
Supervisor
to lead daily mechanical maintenance operations at our power plant in Masbate. If you're passionate about smart technologies and sustainable energy, we'd love to welcome you to our team.

Key Responsibilities :

As Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the plant operates safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual performance targets. Your role includes:

  • Coordinating daily mechanical maintenance activities across the plant and/or assigned team
  • Ensuring performance targets are met within your area of responsibility
  • Training new team members on maintenance procedures and standards
  • Monitoring equipment, materials, parts, and tools, ensuring they are maintained per guidelines and taking corrective action when needed
  • Ensuring all work complies with Wärtsilä's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, as well as customer site procedures and maintenance plans
  • Inspecting completed work to verify repairs meet specifications and safety standards
  • Coaching and mentoring maintenance staff, assisting with complex equipment diagnostics
  • Developing and improving maintenance routines at the plant
  • Prioritizing and assigning tasks to optimize team resources and meet schedules
  • Overseeing daily maintenance planning and execution
  • Communicating effectively with the plant team regarding equipment condition and performance, and recommending improvements
  • Administering and training skilled maintenance personnel to foster strong teamwork
  • Setting and maintaining qualification and training standards for plant maintenance staff
  • Establishing and implementing standard maintenance policies and procedures in line with project and contract management processes
  • Preparing reports, plans, and budgets as directed by the Maintenance Manager

You'll Shine in This Role If You Have:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in power plant maintenance
  • At least 2 years of experience as a maintenance supervisor
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of building trades, cleaning procedures, and maintenance practices
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and performance management
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Office and digital communication tools
  • Effective time management and decision-making capabilities

Mandatory Requirements :

  • Valid PMS (Professional Mechanical Engineer) License
  • Either locally base in Masbate, or Local Expat – somewhere in the Philippines
