Position Summary:

The Electronics and Communications Engineer is responsible for the design, development, installation, testing, and maintenance of electronic and communication systems. This role involves working on telecommunications networks, signal processing, wireless communication, control systems, and related electronic devices to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. The engineer collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver reliable, efficient, and innovative communication solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electronic circuits, communication systems, and devices including transmitters, receivers, antennas, routers, and modems.

  • Plan, install, and commission communication networks such as fiber optics, microwave, radio, satellite, and wireless systems.

  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electronic and communication equipment to ensure system reliability.

  • Develop and review technical specifications, schematics, and design documents.

  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements or upgrades as necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with telecommunications regulations, safety standards, and quality control measures.

  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and project teams during procurement, installation, and commissioning phases.

  • Provide technical support and training to users and maintenance teams.

  • Conduct research on emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve system efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Prepare project reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders.

  • Assist in budget estimation, procurement, and project scheduling related to electronics and communication works.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer or Electronics and Communications Engineer (ECE) license preferred.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in electronics and communications system design, installation, or maintenance.

  • Proficiency in circuit design software, simulation tools, and communication protocols.

  • Strong understanding of RF systems, signal processing, networking, and telecommunications infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FCC, ITU, IEEE).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Good communication and teamwork capabilities.

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects concurrently.

Preferred Competencies:

  • Experience with wireless communication technologies (4G/5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth).

  • Knowledge of fiber optic technologies and network architecture.

  • Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and IoT devices.

  • Skills in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or MATLAB.

  • Experience in project management and client coordination.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based with frequent site visits to installation or maintenance sites.

  • May require working in varied environments, including outdoors or confined spaces.

  • Possible travel to client locations or project sites.
