Reporting to: Senior Product Development Manager
The Assistant Product Development Manager, supports the entire product development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and high-quality products through market research, planning, coordination, timeline management, and effective communication.
Other requirements include the following:
- Collaborates closely with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements and facilitate successful product launches, ensuring customer satisfaction, market success, and adherence of products to quality standards.
- Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking to identify market trends, industry best practices, and areas for product differentiation.
- Manages product development projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence, while monitoring and analyzing performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and inform future product development plans within the assigned product segment.
- Manages relationships with external vendors, partners, and stakeholders within the assigned product segment, enabling effective collaboration and long-term partnerships.
To succeed and grow in this role, you will be required to meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, computer science, or a related field.
- At least five years of experience as a product development manager or in a similar role, with a successful track record of delivering innovative and high-quality products.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn and understand complex product features and functionality.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive product insights and recommendations.
- Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Keen awareness of market trends and competitive landscape
- Negotiation skills - pricing
- Proficiency in Google Suite applications; Sheets - data analysis and reporting
