Purpose of the Position:
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Superintendent is accountable and responsible for overseeing the implementation of construction operation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing and control the construction activities, utilization of equipment and manpower resources to attain effective implementation of the project requirements.
Monitors the availability and actual status of equipment units required for the day's operation.
Provide working programs for operators and drivers not limited to delivery of materials, but also in maintenance of work for safety purposes.
Facilitate the line-up of proper matching of equipment units to its designated area/activity.
Overseeing the overall operation by ensuring that work programs are being implemented with utmost regards to safety, environment and efficiency.
Coordinate with Client's authorized representative about scope of works.
Timely reporting of incident during his/her shift, reports should be submitted not more than twelve (12) hours after the incident.
Responsible for all actions done by Site Supervisors during the course of performing their individual duties and in the implementation of functions and programs.
Participate in investigation of incident.
Recommend operators and drivers for disciplinary actions in violating the rules and regulations of the company.
Perform other duties and responsibilities that maybe required from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
1. Graduate of any related Engineering course, preferably licensed Engineer or at least college graduate with minimum of three (5) years related experience in earthworks/roadworks activities and Construction Operation.
High Level of interpersonal skill and integrity;
Creative, forward thinker;
Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets
Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
A reliable professional who follows organization and department procedures, completes tasks in a timely manner.
