On-call Basic and Advanced IGF Instructor

The On-call or Part-time Instructor or Training Specialist is directly in-charge of the course delivery and ensures that all materials and equipment needed in the conduct of training are in good working condition to ensure high standard and quality training. S/he makes sure that learning is properly communicated to all the training participants.

Requirements:

• Must have certification as Officer-In-Charge as an Engineering Watch
• With at least minimum 2 years of seagoing service in that role on ships subject to the IGF Code
• Must have certification of proficiency in Advanced Training for Ships Subject to the IGF Code
• Must completed the Basic and Advanced IGF Training
• Can present a Sea Service Certificate or Letter indicating the vessel uses IGF-compliant engines (LNG or other low-flashpoint fuel
• Can present a Copy of the vessel's IGF Code Compliance Certificate

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducts the courses assigned
• Reports and finishes the class on time
• Manages the class and delivers the course exactly according to the Instructor's guide.
• Ensures that resources are complete before the delivery of the course
• Inspects/ checks the equipment before the course delivery
• Conducts daily ID and attendance check at the start of the class
• Submits daily attendance at the end of each course
• Accomplishes and submits all the forms needed
• Ensures that safety instructions are communicated and explained to trainees
• Prepares and submits the grades of trainees once the course is completed
• Returns all the equipment used at the end of each session
• Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Php Php450.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
