Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Development:

Leading the creation of new food products, including concept generation, formulation, and pilot plant testing.
- Product Optimization:

Improving existing recipes for taste, texture, nutrition, cost, and scalability.
- Team Leadership:

Managing and mentoring R&D teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Working with operations, quality assurance, marketing, and sales to ensure seamless product development and launch.
- Compliance:

Ensuring all products meet food safety regulations, quality standards, and relevant legislation.
- Innovation:

Staying up-to-date with the latest food science trends, ingredients, and technologies.
- Project Management:

Overseeing multiple R&D projects, managing timelines, and budgets.
- Technical Expertise:

Providing guidance on technical aspects of food production, including ingredient functionality and process optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

Typically requires a degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field, often with an advanced degree.
- Experience:

Several years of experience in R&D or product development within the food industry, including experience in leading projects and teams.
- Skills:

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of food science principles and food safety regulations.
- Knowledge:
