HVAC Engineer

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Engineer to join our facilities management team in BGC. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across our commercial real estate portfolio. This role requires technical expertise in HVAC systems, energy efficiency optimization, and compliance with local building codes and environmental standards.

System Design and Engineering Design and specify HVAC systems for new construction and renovation projects, ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with Philippine building codes and international standards. Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and calculations for HVAC installations. Conduct load calculations and system sizing to meet specific building requirements and occupancy needs.

Operations and Maintenance Oversee preventive maintenance programs for existing HVAC systems across multiple properties. Troubleshoot system malfunctions and coordinate repairs with internal teams and external contractors. Monitor system performance through building automation systems and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal operating conditions.

Energy Management Analyze energy consumption patterns and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements. Recommend and implement energy-saving initiatives, including system upgrades and operational modifications. Prepare energy performance reports and track utility cost reductions resulting from optimization efforts.

Project Management Manage HVAC-related capital improvement projects from conception through completion. Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines during design and construction phases. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Compliance and Safety Ensure all HVAC systems comply with local building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards. Conduct regular inspections and maintain documentation for regulatory compliance. Implement and monitor safety protocols for HVAC operations and maintenance activities.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or related field. Licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer (PME) preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HVAC design, installation, or maintenance, preferably in commercial real estate or facilities management.

Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, including chillers, air handling units, ductwork design, and building automation systems. Proficiency in HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or Carrier HAP. Familiarity with energy modeling software and building management systems.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of Philippine building codes, ASHRAE standards, and green building certification programs (LEED, BERDE) preferred.
