DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Truck mechanic

Responsible for repairing, modifying and performing preventative maintenance on applicable fleet vehicles. Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Inspect delivery truck engine components to diagnose issues accurately.
  • Explaining mechanical problems and possible solutions.
  • Testing parts to ensure they work correctly.
  • Ensuring all critical parts are checked and tested.
  • Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.
  • Repairing or replacing worn, old or defective parts of delivery trucks.
  • Follow PMS (Preventive Maintenance Schedule).
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as truck mechanic
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
  • Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
  • Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
  • Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
  • Excellent physical condition
  • High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred
  • Must have at least 1 year work experience from the same environment.

  • Amenable to work from Monday -Saturday: Shifting schedule

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
