Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Platform Administrator to manage and support the day-to-day operations of our enterprise Power BI environment. In this key role, you will ensure platform stability, enforce governance standards, oversee workspace access, and provide monitoring and support across the business intelligence ecosystem.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Power BI administration, a strong understanding of enterprise data environments, and a passion for enabling data-driven decision-making through a secure, well-governed platform.


Key Responsibilities:

Platform Administration

  • Manage Power BI workspace lifecycle (creation, configuration, permissions, naming conventions)
  • Administer user access and security roles using Azure Active Directory and Power BI Admin portal
  • Monitor platform performance, service health, and usage capacity
  • Manage Power BI gateway configurations and data refresh schedules

Governance & Compliance

  • Enforce governance policies including workspace standards and data access rules
  • Track usage, license consumption, and adoption trends using admin tools and dashboards
  • Support audits by maintaining documentation of user roles, access history, and system changes
  • Work with security and compliance teams to ensure alignment with internal policies

Support & Optimization

  • Collaborate with developers and business users to troubleshoot platform issues
  • Provide best practices for workspace setup, sharing, and deployment pipelines
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve platform performance
  • Train and support end-users and developers on Power BI tools and capabilities

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience administering Power BI in a corporate environment
  • Strong understanding of Power BI service architecture and admin features
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and role-based access control
  • Familiarity with deployment pipelines, data gateways, and capacity management
