Job Responsibilities

  • Accountable for achieving category targets related to sales, gross margin, and other income, while ensuring optimal inventory levels in stores.
  • Collaborates with support functions to maintain healthy stock weeks of cover and manage inventory-related activities that impact financial performance.
  • Oversees product assortment through sourcing, rationalization, and demand forecasting—taking into account product lifecycle, market insights, visual merchandising, and space management.
  • Monitors and analyzes stock levels and reorder points to ensure product availability.
  • Tracks merchandise and supplier performance across all stores and recommends items or suppliers for discontinuation when necessary.
  • Sources and develops new local and international suppliers (both outright and concessionaire) to keep the merchandise assortment aligned with current market trends.
  • Evaluates new products and suppliers for approval by the Merchandising Manager.
  • Negotiates with suppliers for improved terms, including discounts and payment conditions.
  • Oversees markdowns and price adjustments to maintain profitability.
  • Coordinates with suppliers to implement category-building programs for both physical and digital stores, aiming to maximize sales and profitability.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or any related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; 1–4 years preferred in Merchandising, Purchasing, Brand Management, or similar roles.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate skills in negotiation, analytical thinking, and problem-solving; basic strategic planning ability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
