Accountant (CPA w/ AUS Background - Office based, Kawit Cavite)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Accountant to join our Clients' accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accounting tasks: manage AP/AR, reconciliations, reports, tax returns, compliance, and financial support.
Work Set Up:
- Employment Type: Full Time
- Shift Schedule: Mon-Fri, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Work Setup: Onsite
- Location: Cavite
- Client Industry: Dairy Product Manufacturing
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake a range of related financial management tasks, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, other payments, and routine reporting; ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, statutory and taxation requirements and procedures
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports regarding all cash deposits to the bank, performing daily financial transactions such as verifying, calculating and posting accounts receivable data
- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with nancial policies and procedures
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, entering, posting and recording accounts receivables information
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Verify discrepancies and resolve clients invoice issues
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending invoice reminders and contacting clients
- Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports
- Submitting taxation returns such as GST, BAS/IAS and liaison with external tax specialists
- Performing ad-hoc analysis pro-actively or as directed, to provide performance insights that aid growth and focus appropriate resource allocation
- Maintain and regularly reconcile the credit card receipts, ensure that taxi vouchers, travel passes, e-tags, petrol cards and other similar resources are appropriately controlled
- Perform compliance obligations at all times
- Perform other administrative duties as required
- Supports the Finance/Accounts Department as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting field // CA/CPA or equivalent is highly regarded but not essential.
- 5 years of experience in a related role.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting software systems such as Xero
- Experienced in using HubSpot and Web Ninja
- Advanced Excel skills
- Superior organisational skills including a demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to respond to enquiries in a timely manner
- With a solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
- Confident communicator with highly developed written and verbal skills
