Software Developer (with DevOps Expertise)

Job Summary

The Software Developer with DevOps expertise is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable web and mobile applications integrated with automated CI/CD pipelines and containerized infrastructure. The role combines strong software engineering skills with DevOps practices, database management, and modern cloud technologies to ensure high availability, performance, and security across the full application lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Software Design & Development

• Develop and maintain web and mobile applications using modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, Flutter, React Native, .NET, ).
• Design RESTful APIs or GraphQL services for seamless system integration.
• Implement responsive UI/UX and ensure cross-platform compatibility.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following industry best practices (SOLID, DRY, design patterns).

2. DevOps & Automation

• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Manage and monitor application deployments across development, staging, and production environments.
• Automate testing, deployment, and rollback processes to ensure continuous delivery.

3. Containerization & Cloud Management

• Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Manage cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or DigitalOcean) for hosting web and mobile services.
• Optimize performance, cost, and scalability through efficient container and cluster design.

4. Database Administration

• Design, implement, and maintain relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Firebase, Redis).
• Perform database tuning, backup and recovery, and manage data security and integrity.
• Develop and optimize stored procedures, triggers, and ETL processes for data integration.

5. System Integration & Security

• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and internal enterprise systems.
• Implement security best practices (OAuth2, JWT, SSL/TLS, role-based access control).
• Conduct regular code reviews, vulnerability scans, and patch management.

6. Monitoring & Maintenance

• Set up application performance monitoring using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and optimize uptime.
• Document system configurations, deployment guides, and standard operating procedures.

7. Collaboration & Agile Delivery

• Work closely with cross-functional teams — QA, Product Owners, and UI/UX Designers.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to technical discussions, architecture reviews, and solution design sessions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 1–2 years of combined experience in software development and DevOps.
• Proven experience in building and deploying web and mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and container orchestration.
• Experience in database management and data pipeline development.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Optional (Nice to Have)

• Certifications in AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD).
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of security compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Familiarity with AI/ML integration or serverless computing.
