Your Role in the Spotlight

Be part of our client's team as a Research Analyst, where you evaluate target companies against inclusion criteria, gather key enterprise information, and provide actionable intelligence. You will analyze product offerings, financials, ownership structures, and market presence, supporting strategic investment decisions across European markets while working independently to meet strict deadlines.

What You Bring to the Table

• 3+ years of relevant experience in company research, with a preference for experience in European markets
• Strong research acumen
• Solid understanding of key enterprise terms and concepts (e.g., revenue, ownership)
• Ability to determine ownership structures of private European companies; familiarity with private equity or M&A is an advantage
• Proficiency in written English; able to complete simple business descriptions based on provided formats
• Capability to work independently and adhere to strict deadlines agreed upon before starting projects
• Experience using company research tools such as Invent is a plus

Your Daily Impact

• Check lists of target companies against inclusion criteria and mark suitability. These criteria typically include
• Evaluate product/service offering (what line(s) of business does the target company operate in?)
• Assess size (what is the revenue/employee range the client is looking for?)
• Verify geography (where is the company incorporated, what locales does the company serve?)
• Confirm ownership status (is the company privately/publicly owned; is the company a subsidiary of a parent; was the company recently acquired?)
• Find and enter key enterprise information for target companies, including:
• General descriptive info (legal name, brief descriptions, HQ location, parent company)
• Financial data (revenue, EBITDA, operating margin)
• Products/services
• Conduct research using both publicly available sources and databases (e.g., Pitchbook) provided by the client
• Conduct research to find companies that fulfill acquisition criteria, in cases where the exported lists are not sufficient
