About the Role
Quantech is on the lookout for a versatile and detail-oriented Pre-Sales Engineer who can wear multiple hats: wireless, network configurations, structured cabling analyst, and client-facing technical consultant. If you've got solid experience with Ruckus, Aruba, Meraki, a working knowledge of structured cabling, and can confidently configure and work on tools like Ekahau, HPE, Cisco, and Excel, then this might be your next career move.
We are looking for a highly skilled Implementation Engineer with expertise in wirelesstechnologies, network configurations, and cabling design. The role involves configuring and deploying enterprise-grade wireless solutions, implementing network security policies, and ensuring seamless integration of wired and wireless infrastructure for clients.
What You'll Be Doing
- Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Aruba Access Points, HPE Switches, Cisco/Meraki/Ruckus APs, and Fortinet firewalls.
- Design and implement wireless solutions and proposals, including site surveys, coverage planning, and capacity analysis.
- Plan, design, and implement structured cabling systems for wired and wireless networks.
- Perform end-to-end network implementation: installation, configuration, testing, and handover to clients.
- Ensure network security best practices are implemented (firewalls, access control, VLANs, wireless authentication).
- Create and maintain technical documentation (network diagrams, configuration files, project reports).
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting during and after project implementation.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements.
- Conduct post-deployment optimization and fine-tuning of wireless and network systems.
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or related field.
- At least 2–5 years of experience in network implementation, wireless deployment, and cabling design (depending on seniority).
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, routing & switching, VLANs, and network security.
Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting:
Aruba Access Points & Controllers
- HPE Switches
- Cisco and Meraki devices
- Ruckus APs
- Fortinet firewalls
- Familiarity with wireless survey tools (Ekahau, AirMagnet, or similar) is a plus.
- Certifications preferred (optional): CCNA/CCNP, Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP), Fortinet NSE, or equivalent.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Ability to drive and possess a driver's license.
- Willingness to travel to client sites for implementation projects.
