About Your New Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Tester with hands-on experience using Postman to validate API functionality and performance. You will work closely with development and product teams to ensure the quality of both front-end and back-end components across our PHP (Laravel) and React platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute manual test cases for web applications, focusing on functionality, usability, and API reliability.
  • Design and perform API tests using Postman, including validation of endpoints, request/response formats, status codes, and data integrity.
  • Develop and maintain test collections, environments, and test data within Postman.
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to troubleshoot API issues and verify fixes.
  • Perform exploratory, regression, and cross-browser testing of web applications.
  • Review requirements and acceptance criteria to create comprehensive test plans for both UI and API layers.
  • Clearly document test results, API responses, defects, and quality concerns using established tools.

What You'll Need For Success
  • Professional experience performing manual QA testing, with a focus on API testing using Postman.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON payloads.
  • Familiarity with creating and organizing test cases, requests, and environments in Postman.
  • Ability to interpret API documentation (e.g., Swagger, Postman collections) to build effective tests.
  • Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript); knowledge of PHP or React is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively within agile development teams.

Bonus Points For
  • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Exposure to automated API testing or scripting in Postman (e.g., Pre-request Scripts, Tests tab).
  • Experience with cross-browser testing or mobile device testing.
  • Interest in expanding skills into test automation or quality engineering roles over time.
