Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must be a member of the Philippine Bar in good standing. Underbars (those who took the Bar and awaiting results) are also welcome to apply.
  • At least 1 year of working experience in a related field is required for this position.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing to start immediately and to be trained in court litigation, and other areas of law.

Job responsibilities:

The Junior Associate (JA) will be responsible for handling legal matters assigned to them by the Partners, Senior Associates, or other lawyers within the firm. The JA will work on various matters, including corporate, litigation, and other practice areas. The JA's primary role is to provide legal support and contribute to the efficient functioning of the firm.

In particular, the JA's responsibilities may include, among others:

  • Assisting Partners, Senior Associates, and other lawyers in handling legal matters across various practice areas.
  • Conducting legal research, gathering relevant information, and staying up-to-date on the latest laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, legal opinions, memoranda, and other correspondence as required.
  • Reviewing legal documents and providing feedback to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Participating in client meetings alongside Partners, Senior Associates, or other lawyers to understand the client's issues or legal needs.
  • Assisting in communicating with clients to provide updates on case progress, address any questions or concerns, and ensure that all necessary information is collected.
  • Coordinating and managing deadlines for filings, compliance, or submissions, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Attending meetings, negotiations, hearings, or conferences as required for assigned cases or matters.
  • Keeping up-to-date on changes in laws, regulations, and industry practices.
