Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development and review of business and systems requirements to understand database needs.
  • Manage and monitor database user accounts, access, and security.
  • Ensure database availability, performance, and optimal configuration for fast user response.
  • Develop and implement database access and data security policies.
  • Establish and maintain database backup and recovery strategies.
  • Maintain updated documentation including data standards, procedures, and metadata.
  • Ensure data integrity and standardization across all University information systems.
  • Install, test, and upgrade database management systems as required.
  • Collaborate with MIS staff to align database design with software development projects.
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and innovations in database administration.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the MIS Director.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Knowledge in database administration, software development, Oracle, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
