The position is primarily responsible for executing forecasting activities on assigned SKUs under the direction of Supply Chain Director. The position calls for providing active leadership involvement in ensuring that all forecasting activities are successfully executed, implementing consistently the policies within the bounds of the VMOS, and identifying the critical requirements needed by the department to achieve its performance scorecard, KRAs and KPIs.

Key job results shall include timely and accurate demand forecast, responsive information dissemination to various internal stakeholders on demand forecasting and effective management of resources.

Primary functions:

1. Create, develop and maintain statistical demand forecast model.
1.1 Creating database of sales information such as SKU and customer;
1.2 Develops trend derivation- summary of sales movement per customer, per SKU
1.3 Develop forecast model based on data at hand.
2. Review sales/marketing plans, demand drivers and historical sales trending to evaluate forecast results.
2.1 update database based on sales information as compared to the forecast derived from the model;
2.2 Compare baseline volume to actual sales volume;
2.3 Compare committed incremental volume from sales initiatives versus actual incremental sales;

3. Achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts by facilitating collaborative planning process with Sales, Marketing and other relevant departments/parties;
3.1 updates forecasting model versus actual sales;
3.2 Generates up- to- date reports pertaining to forecast and demand planning;

4. Coordinate and provide inputs to Supply (Order) forecast and planning group;
4.1 regularly sends demand plan per SKU and per Warehouse;
4.2 review weekly sales versus forecast to derive stock transfer order per warehouse

5. Monitor YTD actual sales target versus operational demand forecast;
6. Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine forecast baseline to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions;
7. Attends to meetings as may be needed;
8. Represents FAC to external business affairs as may be assigned;
9. Other related tasks as may be assigned.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Marketing, Business Administration, Statistics or any related degree or equivalent from a reputable college or university.

  • At least (3) years of professional experience as a supply planner or/of similar role in a supply chain from a Distribution and/or Retail Industry.
