Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Intern to support our growing team. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain real-world experience in financial management, reporting, and client communications within a professional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and investigate discrepancies in payments and credit card charges; record any returns or adjustments accurately.

  • Organize and maintain a financial filing system that is accessible and audit-ready.

  • Prepare and format accounting reports and summaries for review by senior management.

  • Track all payments related to tax preparation and follow up on any outstanding returns.

  • Communicate with clients regarding payments, refunds, account statements, and other financial matters.

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial statements to all clients.

  • Review and verify the accuracy of financial statements, ensuring final figures are correct and complete.

  • Assist in budget monitoring and help balance departmental budgets as needed.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, ERP) is a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.

  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a collaborative team environment.
