JOB SUMMARY

The CAD Operator is responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings and plans, including architectural and allied engineering drawings. He is assigned with translating conceptual designs and sketches into detailed CAD construction and shop drawings that comply with industry standards, regulations, and company requirements. This role plays a vital part in supporting design development, documentation, and coordination among project teams.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

  • Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit based on sketches, concepts, or instructions from architects or engineers.
  • Assist in producing architectural, structural, or MEP drawings for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, and update drawings for building structures, foundations, framing, finishes, and other construction components.
  • Ensure all drawings are accurate, properly scaled, and compliant with applicable codes, while maintaining consistency with company standards and industry best practices.
  • Review and revise drawings based on feedback, redlines, or design changes, incorporating client feedback and regulatory updates.
  • Prepare drawing sets for permit applications, construction, and tendering processes.
  • Coordinate with site teams to provide up-to-date drawings and resolve any discrepancies encountered during construction.
  • Adhere to safety standards, quality control, and project timelines while delivering drawing packages.
  • Conduct pre-evaluation of building plans submitted by clients for private construction purposes.
  • Perform other related tasks as may be assigned by the superior from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduate of BS Architecture, Industrial Technology major in Drafting or Engineering Technology, or a related field

Experience: At least one (1) year of experience as a Draftsman

Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of construction methods, site development, land surveying principles, building codes, local and national regulations, and construction methodologies.
  • Proficient in 3D modeling and rendering software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, V-Ray/Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy in preparing drawings
  • Exceptional communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines simultaneously
  • Willing to be assigned in Lucena City, Quezon
