Job Title: Roofing Estimator

Rate: 10AUD/hour (starting rate... we are happy to offer 20-30% markup from your current rate if you tick all boxes)

Key Tasks:

· Perform accurate quantity take-offs for commercial/industrial metal roofing projects

· Prepare detailed pricing estimates and quotations based on plans and specifications

· Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents

· Ensure high accuracy and completeness of all estimates and submissions

· Liaise with internal teams to clarify scope and requirements

· Support project team in securing work and preparing tender submissions

· Maintain organized documentation and tracking of estimates and bids

· Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes

Required Experience & Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

· Proven experience as a Metal Roofing Estimator

· Commercial/Industrial metal roofing background

· Demonstrable experience completing accurate take-offs and pricing

· Strong ability to read construction plans for industrial buildings

· Track record of producing accurate, error-free estimates

· Ability to work independently without heavy oversight

Client-Specific Requirement:

· Must have done metal roofing estimating for Australia (preferred)

· If not Australia, must show direct, comparable industrial metal roofing estimating experience (e.g., US commercial market) with demonstrated accuracy and proven ability to adapt

· High attention to detail — no room for recurring basic errors

Preferred Skills

· Experience with Australian construction standards and roofing components

· Familiarity with roofing materials, structural steel, flashings, gutters, and insulation systems

· Proficiency in take-off/estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff)

· Strong analytical and mathematical skills

· Excellent communication and documentation abilities

· Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tenders simultaneously
