HR Analyst

The HR Analyst turns people data into insights that improve hiring, performance, engagement, and retention. You will build dashboards, run analyses, and partner with HR and business leaders to inform decisions with evidence. This role blends data skills, business acumen, and empathy for employees.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain automated dashboards (e.g., headcount, hiring funnel, attrition, diversity, compensation, learning).
  • Establish single sources of truth and maintain data dictionaries/metadata.
  • Perform descriptive, diagnostic, and (where relevant) predictive analyses on workforce trends (e.g., turnover drivers, pay equity, promotion velocity, absenteeism, engagement).
  • Run experiments/A–B tests and cohort studies; quantify impact of HR programs.
  • Translate findings into clear recommendations and business cases.
  • Own data quality checks, reconciliation, and lineage across HRIS/ATS/LMS/Payroll.
  • Implement role-based access, privacy controls, and retention policies.
  • Support workforce planning (demand/supply models, hiring plans, productivity forecasts).
  • Build scenario models and sensitivity analyses for budget and headcount decisions.
  • Work with HRBPs, TA, L&D, Comp & Benefits, and business leaders to scope questions and deliverables.
  • Present insights to non-technical audiences; run enablement sessions.
  • Lead analytics roadmap and prioritization; mentor analysts.
  • Build predictive models (e.g., attrition risk), optimization (e.g., shift scheduling), and causal analysis.
  • Partner with IT/Engineering on data pipelines and architecture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in SQL and one analytics language (Excel advanced functions, Python, or R).
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
  • Strong data storytelling and presentation skills.

  • Experience with HR systems (e.g., SAP/SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle HCM, Darwinbox, UKG), ATS (e.g., Greenhouse, Workable), LMS, and Payroll.
  • Background in compensation analytics, survey design/engagement, or workforce planning.
