What are we looking for?

We are looking for a mid-level full-stack software developer with some machine learning experience to help us build and scale our analytics and AI solutions for our childcare booking optimization platform.

You'll take on an incremental approach to moving machine learning workloads into our existing decision-making processes and production algorithms building trust and familiarity of machine-learning generated insights and data within the business.

Keeping a keen eye on the results you'll iterate over various models and objectives enabling a range of optimization patterns for our customers, delivering maximized real-world value in line with varying customer strategies and needs.

Finally, you will package these solutions up into interfaces and utilities that are used in a variety of ways - by end-users, via API with other applications, and embedded in partner solutions.

Skills Required:

  • 3 years full-stack software development experience with specialization in AI/ML
  • Experience with front-end interface and modern asynchronous development practices
  • Experience building and deploying machine learning pipelines in AWS
  • Experience building and deploying APIs
  • Experience with PostgreSQL
  • Experience with Elixir, Phoenix LiveView, Git, AWS Quicksight a bonus
  • A curious, problem-solving mindset and strong communication skills

What will you do?

  • Play a key role in designing and delivering our AI capability roadmap, driving experimentation and adoption of machine learning into existing business processes
  • Design, build, monitor, and maintain machine learning pipelines that utilise both prediction and classification algorithms
  • Deploy, monitor, and maintain workloads in AWS
  • Provide new and utilise existing APIs to integrate machine learning into existing algorithms and processes
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical resources to explore opportunities for machine learning across the business
  • Design and develop utility front-ends for technical and non-technical staff to utilise
  • Communicate insights, designs, and working solutions clearly to both technical and business stakeholders
