Job Summary:

The Data Steward is responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity, and security of the organization's data. This role serves as a bridge between business and technical teams to define data standards, maintain accurate information, and ensure compliance with data governance policies. The Data Steward helps make data reliable, consistent, and valuable for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:


• Data Quality Management – Monitor, validate, and correct data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.


• Data Standards & Policies – Apply and enforce naming conventions, business definitions, and formatting rules.


• Data Issue Resolution – Investigate data-related problems, coordinate with stakeholders, and recommend corrective actions.


• Metadata Management – Maintain and update data dictionaries, glossaries, and related documentation.


• Compliance & Security – Ensure data handling complies with company policies, industry regulations, and privacy laws.


• Collaboration – Work with data owners, divisions and IT teams to implement governance initiatives.


• Training & Awareness – Educate division assigned on proper data entry, usage, and governance best practices.


• Reporting – Prepare regular reports on data quality metrics, trends, and improvement efforts.

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Business, IT, or related field.


• Experience in data governance, data management, or a related role is an advantage.


• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.


• Good communication skills to work with both business and technical stakeholders.


• Familiarity with data governance tools, databases, or reporting software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Python) is a plus.


• Willing to under a 6 months project based contract under an agency
