Job Description

1. Job Summary:

The Global Citizen Education Group is seeking a coding trainer with strong expertise in Python programming and the ability to integrate sustainability concepts into learning activities. The trainer will guide students through an 7-hour hands-on workshop, helping them design and implement coding projects that address real-world environmental or social challenges.

Candidates should have:

• A solid background in computer science, information technology, data science, or a related STEM field.
• Experience teaching or mentoring students in Python programming and project-based learning.
• At least 2 years of teaching or mentoring experience.

The Global Citizen Education Group will provide all lesson materials. This position is based in Metro Manila, Philippines, and trainers will be required to travel for on-site workshops. Engagement and remuneration will be on a per-program (freelance) basis.

Tentative schedule for the workshop:

• Format: In-person
• Venue: Arthaland Century Pacific Tower, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City
• Duration: 7 hrs. (incl. 1 hr. for lunch)
• Timeline (2 days):

15 November 2025 (Sat): 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

22 November 2025 (Sat): 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

2. Responsibilities:

• Conduct engaging training sessions for students based on the curriculum developed by The Global Citizen Education Group.
• Guide students through coding projects that integrate sustainability concepts and real-world problem-solving.
• Provide constructive feedback on students' performance, coding progress, and teamwork throughout the workshop.
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively to ensure a positive, inclusive, and collaborative learning environment
• Tailor teaching methods and content to accommodate the diverse learning needs and interests of students.
• Support students in debugging, refining, and presenting their coding projects during the workshop showcase.

3. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, data science, or a related STEM field from an accredited school
• Good command of the English language is a plus
• Based in Metro Manila, Philippines
• At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Professional and able to work independently
