We're looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen Symbos' security posture and protect our digital ecosystem. You'll design and implement security measures, monitor threats, and ensure compliance across our platforms—helping us deliver secure, seamless experiences for clients and employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain security protocols for networks, applications, and cloud environments.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify risks.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents promptly.
  • Collaborate with IT and product teams to embed security in all initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
  • Educate staff on cybersecurity best practices.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering, infrastructure security, or security operations.
  • Proven experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, and cloud security tools.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Certifications (preferred):
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert
  • GIAC Security Engineer (GSE)

Critical Knowledge & Technical Skills

  • Experience implementing/administering security tools (firewalls, intrusion detection, vulnerability management, SIEM).
  • Strong understanding of network administration and security technologies.
  • Proven cloud security engineering experience with Azure.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Working knowledge of DevSecOps and tools like SCA, SAST, DAST.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO27001.
  • Experience using ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA).
