The Maintenance Officer ensures the smooth operation, safety, and upkeep of spa facilities, equipment, and utilities across assigned branches. This role is responsible for implementing preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating with service providers, and responding promptly to urgent repair needs to maintain uninterrupted spa operations. By safeguarding the mechanical, electrical, and structural integrity of the facilities, the Maintenance Officer contributes directly to the quality of client experience, operational sustainability, and brand standards.

Facility & Equipment Inspections

§ Conduct regular inspections of spa infrastructure, amenities, and technical systems for wear, damage, or malfunction.

§ Perform urgent repairs or escalate to specialized contractors when needed.

§ Troubleshoot technical concerns and recommend cost-effective, lasting solutions.

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

§ Implement and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for equipment such as sauna, steam room, pool systems, HVAC, plumbing, and lighting.

§ Execute minor repairs independently and supervise major repair work by third-party providers.

§ Ensure all maintenance work meets safety and operational standards.

Coordination with Service Providers

§ Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance needs with prior notification and approval from the Head of Housekeeping & Maintenance.

§ Conduct canvassing and assist in purchasing required tools, equipment, or materials.

§ Monitor service delivery to ensure quality and adherence to agreed timelines.

Documentation & Reporting

§ Maintain detailed logs of inspections, repairs, and work orders for each branch.

§ Prepare and submit maintenance reports regularly to the Head of Housekeeping & Maintenance.

§ Track and monitor the condition and availability of tools, spare parts, and consumables.

Collaboration & Support

§ Work closely with Spa Attendants and Admin Officers to manage repair supply usage and replenishment.

§ Assist in opening and closing readiness checks to ensure all mechanical and electrical systems are operational before client service hours.

§ Support operational teams during high-volume days, events, or emergencies.

Safety & Hygiene Compliance

§ Apply hygiene and safety standards when conducting maintenance, especially in wet or high-humidity spa environments.

§ Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures when servicing electrical or mechanical equipment.

§ Report and address potential safety hazards immediately.

Other Duties

§ Perform other maintenance or operational support tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
