Schedule: 8am- 5pm PHT/ 10AM – 7PM QLD hours

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Design Engineer to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering design and proficiency in a variety of software tools, including AutoCAD, 12D, Civil3Dd, BricsCad, Civil Site Design, HEC-RAS,

The Civil Designer/Engineer will be responsible for creating detailed design plans, performing hydrological and hydraulic analyses, and collaborating with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A CIVIL DESIGN ENGINEER

Responsibilities as a Civil Design Engineer:

• Create and refine detailed civil engineering drawings using 12D, Civil3D or Civil Site Design, AutoCAD, and BricsCAD.

• Prepare cross-sections, long sections, detailed drawings, bills of quantities, and technical documentation aligned with Australian Drafting Standards and local/state regulations.

• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modelling using HEC-RAS for drainage and stormwater infrastructure.

• Apply VBA or Python to streamline design workflows and enhance productivity.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word for data analysis, reporting, and document management.

• Ensure quality control by reviewing plans for compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

• Manage multiple tasks and deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of design documentation
Qualifications as a Civil Design Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering design.

• Must have prior proven experience working with Australian clients/firms in the same industry

• Proven expertise in 12D, Civil3D or Civil Site Design.

• Proficient in AutoCAD or BricsCAD.

• Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Well regarded: experience with HEC-RAS, VBA or Python scripting, and GIS/QGIS.

• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Preferred certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent, and GIS certification or relevant training.
