Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in project development, with a focus on power generation or renewable energy;
  • Proven experience supervising large-scale renewable energy projects, ideally in solar power development;
  • Strong knowledge of project controls, contract management, and regulatory compliance;
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills;
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, contractors, lenders, and regulators.

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Project Development Lead to support the planning, execution, and completion of our solar farm projects. This role will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project controls, contracts, and compliance requirements to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Project Study & Feasibility: Conduct project identification, site assessments, feasibility studies, and due diligence to evaluate technical, financial, and regulatory viability of solar plant developments.
  • ITMS Application Management: Oversee preparation, submission, and monitoring of applications through the Integrated Tariff Management System (ITMS) and other permitting platforms to secure regulatory approvals and incentives.
  • Work Program Management: Plan, organize, monitor, and control the end-to-end project work program to ensure milestones, schedules, and quality standards are achieved.
  • Contract Management: Prepare, review, and enforce project contracts with vendors, contractors, and consultants, and manage resolution of contractual issues.
  • Budget/Cost Management: Develop and manage the project budget, including cost estimates, monitoring expenditures, and validating milestone billings and claims.
  • Corporate Finance Support: Prepare and submit project documentation, progress reports, and compliance materials to Lenders' Technical Advisors; coordinate with corporate finance teams for funding requirements and lender engagements.
  • Regulatory Compliance Support: Ensure compliance with permitting, licensing, and regulatory requirements by coordinating with relevant agencies and maintaining updated records and approvals.
  • Project Closure: Oversee project commissioning, testing, and acceptance, and ensure completion of closure documentation prior to handover to operations and maintenance teams.
