Role Overview

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to implement advanced forecasting solutions for their audience measurement projects. This role focuses on designing measurement frameworks, developing predictive analytical models, ensuring data quality validation, and generating actionable insights to support our market expansion strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploying models and systems to production by applying data-driven Machine Learning and Data Science solutions end to end, starting from research and design to development and testing.
  • Explain results and insights to product & business throughout the process.
  • Perform research & analysis to solve complex problems using advanced ML technologies (time-series analysis, machine learning, deep learning)
  • Work closely with product and data engineers teams to deliver the best solution to the business.
  • Run research and POCs for new technologies and tools as part of our continuous improvement life cycle
  • Ability to develop and validate algorithms for image feature selection and multimodal analysis
  • Recognize business requirements in the context of business intelligence and transform data into useable insights

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist in advertising technology, media measurement, or a similar field.
  • Proven track record of deploying ML models into production environments.
  • Experience with statistical modeling.
  • Excellent Python programming skills, including proficiency with NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and TensorFlow/PyTorch.
  • Advanced SQL skills, with experience using PostgreSQL.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, frameworks, and algorithms.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Fluent English & Japanese for effective international collaboration.

Nice To Have

  • MSc/PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Experience with ClickHouse or other columnar databases
  • OOH/DOOH domain knowledge and understanding of programmatic advertising
  • Geospatial Analysis: GPS data processing, spatial clustering, heat mapping
  • Experience with privacy-preserving analytics and GDPR compliance

Compensation & Structure

  • Salary: USD/month depending on experience and skills
  • Structure: Independent Contractor Agreement
